Programm Manager RESTORE (Part-Time)

Who we are
We are an international NGO providing clean water for textile workers and their communities to improve their health through promoting human well-being, ecosystem restoration & industry education.

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Program & Partnership Manager (30h/week) to lead our RESTORE initiatives and secure the resources necessary to scale them. Your work will be divided into two main pillars:

RESTORE:
As the lead for our flagship program, you are responsible for the strategic development and operational success of our water impact projects in the Global South.

  • Strategic Program Development: Further develop the RESTORE framework, aligning it with global sustainability goals and the needs of the textile industry.
  • Corporate & GS-Partner Management: Act as the primary interface between fashion brands and our partners in the Global South. You build trust, solid relationships in both directions, ensure smooth communication, and align expectations.
  • Operational Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle – from conceptualization to implementation. This includes concept development, pitching, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) to ensure adequate and long-term impact.
  • Advocacy Integration: Coordinate projects that bridge the gap between factory wastewater challenges and clean water resources, engaging both brands and potentially also policymakers.
  • Communication: Making sure that our project’s progress is communicated regularly and providing the materials for our communication channels, such as our Newsletter and LinkedIn account.

 

FUNDRAISING:
To ensure the long-term growth of our programs, you will play a key role in securing financial support and expanding our network.

  • Institutional Fundraising: Identify, approach, and manage relationships with institutional donors, foundations, and public funding bodies. You will lead the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals and reports.
  • Acquisition Corporate Partners: Proactively identify, recruit and build a solid relationship with new corporate partners who are willing to invest in water stewardship, the improvement of their worker’s daily lives and supply chain resilience.

 

Experience & Background

  • Educational background or professional training in a relevant field (e.g. development cooperation, sustainability, environmental sciences, social sciences, corporate partnership management, or related disciplines)
  • At least 3 years of work experience in collaboration with partners in the Global South, preferably in South-Asian countries
  • Experience in the fashion and textile sector is a significant advantage
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in complex project management, stakeholder management, and reporting
  • Proven experience in acquiring institutional funding or corporate partnerships is a significant advantage
  • Openness to critically examine and self-reflect decolonial approaches and power dynamics in our North-South partnerships
  • Advantage: You are a persuasive communicator who can inspire different audiences.
  • Experience with communicating project developments externally, mainly on LinkedIn, in our Newsletter and on Instagram
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English (C1 level or above)

 

What We Offer

  • 30 hours per week with flexible schedulingSalary based on TVöD E10
  • High degree of creative freedom and responsibility within a mission-driven, interdisciplinary team
  • Remote, hybrid work or office-based work in Berlin-Neukölln, with only two mandatory in-person 3- day-team meetings per year
