OUR VISION

A water-just* fashion system** for people and nature

*WATER-JUST

An equitable and sustainable approach to water management (water stewardship) that prioritizes the fair distribution, responsible consumption, and preservation of water resources. A water-just system champions both environmental integrity and social equity, safeguarding water as a universal human right.

**FASHION SYSTEM

Encompasses the entire network of processes, stakeholders, and infrastructures involved in the design, production, distribution, marketing, consumption, and disposal of fashion and textiles worldwide.

IMPACT AREAS

Our Approach

We tackle the man-made water crisis through 3 impact areas:

Inform

We educate about the adverse impacts of the fashion system on water resources and its consequences for human and planetary health, gender equality, and social justice and encourage consumers & brands to take action!

Restore

We support projects in textile-producing regions, where water quality and availability have been most impacted by the fashion industry, to restore local communities’ access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene by working together with local grassroots organizations and brands.

Connect

We build inclusive networks that connect consumers, brands, industry experts, academic and development institutions, and grassroots organizations to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and promote shared responsibility — with a focus on centering and amplifying voices from the Global South.
